Behavioral health services

Behavioral health care, simplified

We offer integrated behavioral health care: psychiatric medication management, psychotherapy, couples and family work, and specialty programs. Care is available in person and through secure telehealth, where clinically appropriate.

01

Psychotherapy

Individual therapy at Alpine Medical is conducted by licensed clinicians drawing on modalities with a demonstrated evidence base: cognitive-behavioral approaches, acceptance-based frameworks, and trauma-focused treatment among them. Your therapist maintains longitudinal familiarity with your history rather than picking up a chart cold each visit.

Our therapists are independently licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, PsyD, or PhD) and matched to your care based on your goals and the modalities best suited to them. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly to start.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills
  • Psychodynamic and supportive psychotherapy
  • Trauma-focused care
  • Perinatal and postpartum-specific therapy
02

Couples & Family Care

Relational work at Alpine Medical operates from the premise that the unit of treatment is the relationship, not one partner or family member. Clinicians work with couples and adult family members on communication patterns, conflict that has become entrenched, and the strain that one person's psychiatric or behavioral health condition can place on a household.

Relationships are part of behavioral health. Our couples and family clinicians are trained in evidence-based systemic and relational modalities, and care is delivered with the same evidence base as our individual treatment.

  • Couples therapy (Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method-informed)
  • Family therapy for adults and adult-child family units
  • Parent guidance for adults navigating parenting under stress
03

Telehealth

Secure video appointments extend Alpine Medical's psychiatric and therapy services to adults throughout Colorado who cannot access in-person care — whether due to geography, schedule, or mobility. The clinical standard is identical to in-office visits. Telehealth is not a lesser tier; it is the same practice, delivered differently.

Where clinically appropriate, both psychiatric care and psychotherapy are available through HIPAA-compliant telehealth. The same clinicians, the same care — delivered to wherever you can find a quiet, private space within your state of residence.

  • Telepsychiatry medication management
  • Teletherapy for psychotherapy and couples care
  • Secure, HIPAA-compliant platform
  • Equal-fee, in-network billing where your plan permits

Specialty Care

Alpine Medical maintains focused clinical programs for adults dealing with conditions that benefit from coordinated, protocol-informed treatment. These programs combine psychiatric oversight with structured therapeutic support and are designed for presentations where a general outpatient approach is insufficient.

Some conditions benefit from a clinician with focused training. Our specialty programs are organized around the diagnostic categories that present most often in adult outpatient behavioral health, staffed by clinicians with additional training in each area.

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Mood disorders
  • OCD
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Workplace burnout
  • ADHD evaluation and management
  • Chronic medical conditions with co-occurring mental health needs

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Psychiatric care at Alpine Medical centers on thorough evaluation and precise medication management for adults navigating mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and complex diagnostic questions. Follow-up appointments are structured to track treatment response over time — not simply to refill a prescription. When indicated, our psychiatrists coordinate directly with your therapist inside the practice.

Our psychiatric care is delivered by physicians who completed an MD or DO, a four-year residency in psychiatry, and who hold board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Visits are scheduled at the frequency your care requires.

  • Diagnostic psychiatric evaluation
  • Ongoing psychiatric medication management
  • Coordination with primary care & specialty providers
  • Care for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, perinatal mental health, and major life transitions
  • Telehealth or in-person at your preference

Care begins with a conversation.
